Mandalay Arrival – City Tour
Welcome to Mandalay, one of the most interesting cities of Myanmar on the banks of the Irrawaddy River that you should not miss in your trip. Mandalay is not simply a travel destination only but actually, it is called the culture heart of Myanmar and featured with tradition of music, dance and drama. From Mandalay airport, it will take us about 1 hour to get to Mandalay city. Overnight in Mandalay.
We will start the exploration in Mandalay with a first visit at the Mandalay Palace Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, where a huge Buddha carved from a marble rock. After that, the Kuthodaw pagoda will be our next place to visit. With the collection of 729 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings, Kuthodaw pagoda is known as the World’s Biggest Book.
To finish the morning, we take a visit to Shwenandaw Monastery, also called Golden Monastery, where the amazing woodcarving structure will make you feel impressed.
In the afternoon, continue the tirp to visit the Mahamuni Pagoda, where one of the most honored Buddha images is housed. If time permits, y ou may have chance for visit to one making gold leaf, tapestries, wood carvings or marionettes if you are interested.
Our next destination is Amarapura with a stop at Mahagandayon monastery which is known as the house of thousand young monks and centre for monastic study. Next, we can travel to the famous Ubein Bridge by bus or walking. Constructed in 1782, Ubein Bridge is considered one of the teakwood bridge in the world. We also enjoy relaxing time here to contemplate the sunset.
Embarktaion on Paukan Cruise (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will transfer to the Sagaing jetty to embark the Paukan Cruise for downstream cruising to Bagan. Welcome Cocktail onboard.
We will cruise for sightseeing and enjoy lunch at 13.00. In the late afternoon, stop at Yandabo village to see the traditional pot-making works of the locals. Overnight near the village of Shwe Nann Tint.

In the morning, we continue cruising downstream to Bagan. After breakfast, it time permits, we pay a visit to another river village. Sunrise near Bagan will make you feel so surprised before disembarkation at Bagan Aye Yar jetty.
Leaving the Paukan Cruise, you are picked up for sightseeing tour in Bagan. After visiting the legendary white temple of Ananda, you have chance to learn about the local works of making lacquer and wood crafts, which are created by traditional techniques. From there, drive to a carriage ride at sunset through the temples Thatbyinnyu – the highest of Bagan, the gigantic Dhammayangyi known for its fine brick building, and the impressive Sulamani.
In the late afternoon, climb up the Shwesandaw pagoda to enjoy the amazing sunset from this second highest temples of Bagan.
Fly To Yangon – City Tour (B)
Today, we transfer to the airport for the early morning flight to Yangon. Arriving in Yangon, you will be picked up by our tour guide and driver who will take you to visit around the city. The highlights of the trip are Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, the China Town and the interesting Scott Market built in colonial architecture.
Turning the way to the Central Railway Station, we will get on the Yangon circular train, which is used by the locals to transfer their goods. During 28 miles of train trip, we will pass through the rustic towns, suburban areas and 39 stations. With thousand reviews on Tripadvisor, the circular train is voted as the best way to discover Yangon.
Stopping at Da Nyin Gone Station, we continue the exploration to a vivid local market, where we have about 45 minutes strolling around to see an authentic life of people in Yangon.
In the late afternoon, visit the famous Shwedagon pagoda, the most spiritual pagoda of the Burmese to learn about it and contemplate sunset.
